THE INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION CAN SEE HURRICANE FRANKLIN. NASA published an amazing video of Hurricane Franklin as it approach the United States' East Coast.

The video was taken from the International Space Station (ISS), which is located 260 miles over Earth and floated over the area on Tuesday.

The video starts with a viewpoint looking down on the storm's eye before moving out to show the climate system on the backdrop of blue water and Earth's curve.

"During 9:56 a.m. ET on Tuesday afternoon 29 August 2023, as the spacecraft flew 260 miles overhead," the space agency said in a message with the footage.

During the point of the flypast, Franklin was above the Atlantic, deep out to ocean, with gusts of 130 miles per hour.

Due to the National Hurricane Centre, Franklin is travelling north-northeast across the Atlantic."Hurricane Idalia is projected to reach land in Florida around noon Wednesday."

NASA's Terra satellite got this image of Idalia approach the state to the west.
